Montreal is turning 375 and to celebrate we're inviting you to the opening ceremony of the Jacques-Cartier bridge illumination project. The ceremony will feature a unique 30 minute illumination accompanied by a musical soundtrack created especially for the evening featuring the Orchestre Métropolitain and a dozen up-and-coming Montreal artists.
The illumination show starts at 9:45pm, and we've got spots reserved in the exclusive AmpMe zone at Plage de l'Horloge with the best view of the bridge.
AmpMe is the official sound provider for the event, and they will be attempting to set a world record that night by syncing thousands of Montrealers together into one big speaker. Download the app in advance, and AmpMe reps will be giving each of you a free Bluetooth speaker the night of the event.
The AmpMe zone is located at the Plage de l’Horloge (Google Maps) in the Old Port of Montreal. Come early! We are expecting a huge crowd. Plus, we’ll be giving out sweet Unsplash pins and stickers before the show starts.
Spots are limited and will be first-come, first-served.
We're expecting lots of traffic that day, so we recommend taking public transit to the site— STM will be free all evening.
Your camera (and a tripod), you'll have the best seat in the house.
The AmpMe app installed on your phone. AmpMe will be giving out free bluetooth speakers and attempting to set a new world record for biggest number of mobile devices synced together and playing the same music simultaneously.
